“For he chose us in him before the creation of the world…” (Ephesians 1:4, NIV)
Did you know that God chose you before the foundations of the earth? Before the worlds were ever formed, He knew you. And, He didn’t create you to be average. He didn’t create you to barely get by. No, He created you to excel! Not only has He chosen you, but He has equipped you with everything you need to live and thrive in this life. He has deposited seeds of greatness inside every person. But in order to tap into those seeds of greatness, you have to believe this and act on it.
Too many people today are going around with low self-esteem, feeling inferior like they don’t have what it takes. But that is living a lie. And as long as we have a poor self-image, we’re not going to experience God’s best. In order to be all that God has called us to be, we have to see ourselves as chosen, valuable and victorious.
Today, meditate on this truth. Let it sink down deep into your heart. Let it build confidence and security in you. As you understand your value in the eyes of God, you’ll be empowered to live the life of victory He has prepared for you!

“I will set no base or wicked thing before my eyes…” (Psalm 101:3, AMP)
In this Psalm, David was determined to honor the Lord with his mind. David knew that what he watched would affect his thinking. If he didn’t guard his mind by choosing carefully what he looked at, he would be drawn to do things that weren’t pleasing to the Lord.
The same is true for us today. If we are watching things on TV or reading things in books or magazines that aren’t pleasing to the Lord, we are opening a door to the enemy. When we look on things that aren’t pleasing to the Lord, a stronghold is built in our thinking. We become enslaved to those wrong thoughts. But, God has given us the power to break those strongholds through the blood of Jesus Christ!
If you are struggling with thoughts that you don’t want anymore, today, you can be free. First, receive His forgiveness and make the choice to change what you are looking at. Let the Lord wash you clean and strengthen you by His Spirit. Focus your thoughts on His Word and do not let any wicked thing before your eyes. As you determine to honor the Lord, He will empower you by His Spirit so you can live in freedom and victory all the days of your life!

Do we still need a literal preview of heaven before we can say that “Heaven is better”? Since we had heard a lot of testimonies of people who had a journey to heaven or hell and describing what’s in it. How beautiful (heaven) or terrifying (hell) is. I can’t say if it’s all accurate since I never had experienced one. But I do believe in heaven and hell. And even if you remove heaven in the first place, Jesus will always be better than anything!
Usually, we tend to think that everything shall pass and heaven is better, only when we’re in the hardest core of life, and we forget it when it comes to our most desired things that will definitely benefit us and even exchange it with the rewards we can get on heaven or even Jesus Himself.
We’re blessed because the moment we had the salvation, we have something to look forward to. And that is the access of heaven and being with our Heavenly Father. That He will be the very One who will wipe our tears, put away our pains, problems, fears, rejection, failures, depression, anxiety, insecurities, pride, lust, greediness and all for good and who will tell us the sweetest words, “My Child, you’ve done a very great job!” (I can never get tired of this, I swear!)
What is there that you look forward in life? What really excites you? Whatever it is, although it’s hard to imagine, heaven will be far better!

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 1 Corinthians 9:24, NKJV.
So many people today spend valuable time and energy trying to make everyone around them happy. They want to be approved, accepted and affirmed. There’s nothing wrong with that, but you can’t let the opinions of others become your focus or distract you from what God has called you to.
In the natural, when a professional runner races, you don’t see them looking around at the other runners, wondering how they are doing. No, they have their mind focused on one thing: the finish line. They don’t waste valuable energy comparing themselves or wondering what’s going on around them. Instead, they focus on winning the prize. This is how we should be in life—focused on winning the prize of the victor’s crown in life.
My challenge to you today is: run your race. Don’t let people squeeze you into their mold. Remember, you don’t have to try to play up to people. You don’t have to worry about what everyone else thinks. As long as you’re being true to what God has put in your heart, don’t look to the left or to the right. Stay focused on your goals. Run your race to win and honor God in everything that you do!
A Prayer for Today
Father, today and every day I set my focus on you. I declare that I will not look to the left or to the right, but I will fix my eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith. Give me wisdom and grace as I dedicate every area of my life to You in Jesus’ name! Amen.
